i’m a wholesale buyer. what do i need to know?

Yay, we’re so happy you’re here! You can shop during any of our open hours (see above) but wholesale buyers have priority hours on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

  1. In order to be a wholesale buyer, you must open a (free!) account on our ordering platform, Rooted Farmers. You cannot pre-order flowers from us without this!

  2. Once your wholesale account application has been approved, you’ll receive an activation email from Rooted Farmers. This can take up to 7-10 days so if you’re in a hurry please email help@rootedfarmers.com so they can expedite your application approval.

  3. Once your account is up and running, head here to be connected to RCFE! You’ll see a blue button if you are a new user. Click on that!

  4. You’re good to go! Be on the lookout for your welcome packet via email from our Market Manager. It has everything you need to know about working with us, including our advanced pre-order process, seasonality guide, and more! Be sure to allow emails from market@rivercityflowerexchange.com so they don’t end up in Spam.

Please note that a 3% handling fee will be added to orders under $750. Why? Because we take every step in the handling process very seriously! We work hard to get your blooms to you in the very best shape.

HOW DOES DELIVERY WORK?

We ask that you leave a vessel of some kind with water on your porch/shady spot on your delivery day so we can place your flowers there. You will receive a text message from your delivery person when your flowers have arrived.

Can I Send Flowers to a Friend?

Absolutely! We’ll even include a short note for free! Just leave the recipients name, address, and your message in the notes section when you buy online! We can deliver to anyone within our normal delivery zones. If it is not a surprise, please remind the recipient to leave a vase or bucket with some water for contactless drop-off. If the recipient is in an office building or apartment complex, please give us any pertinent information for us to be able to enter the building.

HOW DO I MAKE MY FLOWERS LAST AS LONG AS POSSIBLE?

Great question! Your flowers should last around a week or more because they were harvested and delivered within 48 hours. But, to keep them around as long as possible, change the water every day, give the vase a quick wash every couple of days, keep out of direct sunlight and away from heaters, give the stems a fresh cut every few days, and keep your blooms away from fruit.

WHAT IS YOUR DELIVERY RADIUS?

Wholesale Orders:

  • 0-14 miles = $15

  • 15-30 miles = $25

  •  30+ miles = Market Manager will negotiate a rate if it is possible for us. Minimum order amount may apply.

Retail Deliveries are limited to Richmond City limits.
